Rhodes is linked to all major cities in Europe with regular, scheduled flights.
Rhodes international airport “Diagoras” is situated 14 kilometres south-west of Rhodes town, near the village of Paradissi. The airport caters for both scheduled and charter flights, the latter especially in the high season. Airlines operating to and from Rhodes are: Olympic Air, Aegean Airlines and recently, Athens Airways. Other airlines using the airport include: Air Berlin, Arkefly, Austrian, Condor, Cyprus Airways, EasyJet, Edelweiss Air, Germanwings, Hello, Jat Airways, Jetairfly, Jet2.com, Luxair, Malev, Niki, Norwegian Air Shuttle, Novair, Transavia.com, TUIfly, Thomas Cook Airlines, Thomsonfly, White Airways, Wizz Air.
Horizon Line Villas are situated in Kiotari, to the south, at a distance of 50 kilometres from the airport, easily reached by a journey of around 45 minutes via Faliraki-Lindos-Gennadi on the motorway.
Ferry services lines operate between Piraeus (Athens) and most Aegean islands daily, either directly or via the larger neighbouring islands in the case of the smaller islands. You can ‘fly’ from Rhodes ( 60 kilometres from Horizon Line Villas in Kiotari ) to the larger islands of the Dodecanese ( Kos, Kalymnos, Leros, Patmos, Karpathos etc ) by using hydrofoil. You can also visit the coastal towns of Turkey in this way.
Within a radius of 500 metres you can find 6 restaurants- fish tavernas, 2 supermarkets (with fresh bread), a sweetshop and a butcher’s. There are two chemists between 2.2 and 3 kilometres away. The nearest cashpoint is in the next village of Gennadi, 3 kilometres away. You will also find in Gennadi the regional doctor’s surgery, open 24 hours, as well as the police and the local authority.
You can’t miss the beach bar light house, while for the late-night revelers there are the Lithos and Sampa bars, which are to be found around 2.5 kilometres away. You can also be entertained in the surrounding villages of Asklipeio, Gennadi, Vati, Lahania, Lardo and Lindos.
